About artist and founder, Katy McIntyre Brown

I’m Katy McIntyre Brown — a British artist, designer, and nature-lover, creating hand-painted floral fabrics and wallpapers inspired by the English countryside for modern homes.

I hand paint my nature inspired fabric designs and large scale collages of hand-painted botanical studies inspired by the English countryside.

I’ve been painting professionally and exhibiting for more than 25 years in the UK and in Kenya.  With a Masters Degree in textile design, I combine traditional artistic techniques to create my botanical prints from botanical studies in oils painted in my studio in the Test Valley.

From the beginning, my work has been rooted in biophilic design and the idea that connecting people with nature and bringing it into our living spaces can enhance wellbeing, comfort and creativity. I offer pieces that are beautiful and functional - tea towels made from the best quality 100% linen; natural tablecloths to adorn celebratory dining tables under the trees or the stars - perfect for weddings and summer parties; furnishing fabrics that are soft, durable and wonderful for curtains, blinds, cushions and soft furnishings. Our natural floral cotton velvets are amazingly hard wearing and gorgeous on sofas, chairs, curtains and more.

I also take commissions creating garden wall designs for interiors, both domestic and institutional. Past clients have commissioned wall designs for country houses, hospitals and charity headquarters. I’ve worked with a number of leading charities and with Horatio’s Garden spinal unit charity created wall coverings won a five star medal at Chelsea Flower show 2025.

We’ve spent years selecting our partners and are very proud of our products which are designed to last a long time, bringing pleasure for years.
